Lachlan Ireland – Manager
Lachlan grew up in Sydney with his love for agriculture developing from his involvement with the family property in Mudgee, NSW. Upon leaving school he spent three years in a contract mustering team based out of Katherine in the Northern Territory. This allowed him to gain a broad perspective on the Northern beef industry and ultimately led him to his tertiary studies. In 2020 Lachlan commenced the Bachelor of Business Agribusiness course at Marcus Oldham College. Since completing his studies in 2022, Lachlan joined the Craiglea Pastoral team. His interest in the Southern beef industry stems from the sheer number of variables that can be manipulated to give a desired outcome. Lachlan is excited for the future of the agricultural industry, as global demand for proteins is seeing no limits and the innovative technology used in agriculture today is pushing the boundaries in terms of efficiency and effectiveness.
Chelsea Walker – Assistant Manager
Chelsea grew up on a beef property in the Hunter Valley, and has loved livestock from a young age. She spent a “gap year” on a cattle station in the Northern Territory, which turned into a desire for a career in agriculture. Following this, she spent almost 3 years in Western Australia on another cattle station, before returning to NSW in early 2022 in search of more intensive agricultural operations. Chelsea has spent some time on an Angus Stud in the Snowy Monaro, before joining the team at Craiglea Pastoral. She is in her final year of a Bachelor of Agriculture at Charles Sturt Uni, and has a strong interest in the science of animal nutrition. Chelsea is passionate about the future of the industry, as young people are stepping up into management and bringing innovation and new ideas.
